Wound Management

Wound assessment is essential to effective wound management, and wounds should be measured each time the wounds are assessed.

Wound measurement provides baseline information while continuous measurement helps to predict healing and aids monitoring of treatment efficacy and evaluation. It is also objective and can be useful in cost-benefit analysis.

"What I did was to take picture of some wounds, where I placed a ruler near, and then measured the size of the wound with the KLONK software. I made it work without any problems, and I did not need any instructions. So the software is user friendly. I recommend to measure wound sizes on a regular basis. It should be done a lot more than it's done today."
